Many people (particularly, the aged ones icon smile Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center Uses iPad in Treating Patients ) say that we must not be a slave of our works (gadgets). Rather we must over rule them to maximize its capability to make our lives better.

Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center, from Israel, is the first ever hospital to use iPad in treating patients. The first hospital to program an Apple iPad to interact with Microsoft Corp’s Chameleon software used by hospitals. It is the first hospital to program the high-resolution, touch-screen iPad to interact with Microsoft Corp’s Chameleon software used by hospitals.

How does this helps the patients?

Dr Yoram Liwer, chief executive of Mayanei Hayeshua says that ”The patients’ data are in the computer … so physicians who are out of hospital but on call can see X-rays and ultrasounds through their iPad and give more intelligent advice to staff in the hospital.”

For example, a patient of a particular doctor who is not in goes into the emergency room for such reason. The on duty doctor consulted its “original” doctor from afar. The iPad contains the X-Ray and CT scans of that particular patient and with the iPad’s high resolution, the doctor can see it clearly and he can give follow up instructions on what to do next.
